ONE DAY

One day, you’ll wake
And find the answers
To all your burning questions
Neatly placed at the foot of your bed.

A weight will lift from your shoulders
Like scales scraped from a fish’s skin.
You’ll feel light, alive
Like a bird freed from a cage.

One day, you'll wake to the sound
Of your name
Sung on every tongue
Like the sweetest hymn.

Your story of resilience, patience
Will flow through the land like air.
Your name will journey far and wide
To places only your mind has touched.

But until that day
Learn to be yourself
Strive to grow
Believe in who you are
And embrace today.

For when that day comes
You’ll be ready to greet
Whatever the rushing stream
Carries your way.
