One Day

ONE DAY one day my role on the stage of life would be done And the curtain of death would be drawn. One day Time won’t stop to mourn me. All that would be left of me would be the history of my memories Where i would be, I do not know. One day I will bid farewell to this passing world As you all continue the journey of life. We all live a life owned by death. As we live, we do so to pay off death. One day The world won’t even remember the remnants of my name. The world would be the same With or without me. What are we? Just busy ants that march from the cradles of birth to their eternal homes, their graves. One day There will be a party right next to my corpse, And there i will understand when we say humans only show love to what talks and breathes no more. A poem by Ojoo Isaac
