One Child's Nursery Rime
He was a little child once
All innocence and laughter
He thought his days must surely be
'Happy ever after'.
But innocence was taken from
His tiny little paws
Too soon he met the Big Bad Wolf
And felt it's rakish claws!
Mary had her little lamb
She kept it in her room
And everywhere that Mary went -
There followed doom and gloom.
Up he grew and sailed away
Forever heading South
Never once an utterance -
He 'Shut his bleeding mouth'.
Still in his sleep, at his ripe age
He will turn and toss
For always hanging round his neck...
A dirty Albatross!
