One By One
One by one
As life did stop;
Her months were done,
And now she's atop.
With all her fun.
One month at a time,
She slowly vanished;
With each small chime,
From life was banished.
Such a wall to climb.
Her life is done,
From dusk to dawn;
One by one,
And now she's gone.
Up, and past the sun.
The life of one,
On which I do desire;
But her time is done,
And I too, will soon retire.
My whole life is a pun.
