One Blind Date
One blind date,
Turned into twenty nine years,
We talked all night,
We drank a few beers.
One blind date,
I wished would never end,,
Fortunately for me,
I'd met my best friend.
One blind date,
An imaginary stone,
Since that night,
I haven't felt alone.
One blind date,
At my front door,
We were both nervous,
Your eyes were cast to the floor.
One blind date,
You seemed so shy,
I'm so happy,
You came by.
One blind date,
A fine romance,
Even though it's still a struggle,
To get you to dance.
One blind date,
Turned into the love of my life,
I knew that night,
We'd become husband and wife.
One blind date,
Still going strong,
Twenty nine years later,
We're where we belong.
One blind date,
A love that's true,
I'm extremely lucky,
To share it with you.
