One second
Is all I need
To feel exhilarated
By your touch.
One minute
Is all it takes
To experience loneliness
After you leave.
One hour
Is all I require
To treat you like a queen
And help you leave the world behind.
One day
Is all I desire
To be your squire
And take you somewhere you've never been.
One week
Is what I need
To relax you
And build up your zeal for life.
One month
Is what I would gladly give
To free you from fears
And replace them hope.
One year
Is how far we've come,
Relying on a love that shines bright
And which will last for evermore.
One life
Is all I have to give
To you to share
And I hope you give yours to me next year.
