Once Upon a Democracy

Once upon a democracy
When freedom was a legacy
Built upon a foundation
Of church and state separation
Before the leader of the free world
His dictatorship was unfurled
Remember when your pride
Knew that God was on your side
And bless your holy patriarch
Your ever powerful oligarch

Funny enough even the Pope has weighed in, chastising Big Orange for his internment camps. “Never again” turns out makes a great playbook. Canada sighs… ;), xomo

Once upon a time I was proud to call America my home. Now, it's run by a power-hungry dictator and a narcissistic gnome. Your writes are always to the point and hit the target, Mo.

Thank you Lin. Canada hasn’t been this united in a helluva long time, so that’s something. I fear for us all, especially all those whose lives are being impacted, rights being lost. Canuck hugs! xomo
