Once More
It's reality but heart doesn't accept;
Still wishing if you by chance change your mind.
My heart is not in agreement with mind.
Unable to think what was my defect.
Believe me, never wanted to repent.
Its destiny sitting alone to find
what went wrong, you left a letter unsigned
stating can't stay with me, made me upset.
Yet, hoping you'll return soon; you know well
without you I'll be losing interest
to live in complex world; I'm ignorant
of culture, norms; for me it'll be like hell.
I was so much dependent on you for
starting new life; can you not think once more?
The elements of the Wyatt/Surrey sonnet are:
a quatorzain, written with a Petrarchan octave followed by an envelope quatrain ending with a rhyming couplet. ...
it is composed with the volta (non physical gap) or pivot (a shifting or tilting of the main line of thought) sometime after the 2nd quatrain.
