Once Broken But Now Blessed
more than any other occurrence that depicts the post-modern age
is the diminishing of society's once passionate Christian rage
people are now more secular, they're no longer in sync with Christ
people are now leading more shattered and broken lives
with no real sense of being connected we have misplaced our origins
we seem to be disconnected from ancestral beginnings
we have set aside our history and no longer give our elders respect
we are a fractured society with no depth of retrospect
our youths are out of control they're no longer raised to be polite
we have forgotten our forefathers, disenfranchised from our inherent rights
fragmented, disassociated we no longer seem to be whole
we're pieces of a dream, parts of diminished souls
In order to be healed we must look at the big picture
In order to be whole we need to seek answers in the Holy Scripture
the word of God will reconnect us to our spirituality
the word of God will tell us how to restore our legacy
we need to see ourselves as whole people who are integrated
more than just bodies but hearts, minds and souls no longer separated
take this bread the Lord Christ said for this is my life
take this bread for it represents the body of Jesus Christ
the Lord God desires that we not be broken nor to be stressed
He wants us to be whole in body and for our souls to be blessed
In order to handle the brokenness we need to reconnect with the Lord
with a yen to be whole in spirit and have everything in accord
for when you are at your weakest Christ will be your strength
His grace will be sufficient to go the full length
once broken but now blessed with a new found sense of hope
once broken but now blessed with God's grace to help you cope
once broken but now blessed the Lord's strength in you has been found
once broken but now blessed standing on higher ground
feed on the daily bread and be filled with the breath of life
once broken but now blessed with the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ
the worst is now over and you're no longer in the midst of a spiritual crisis
once broken but now blessed trusting on the Lord God's promises
