Once Again

Once Again

Sometimes I dream of you ,
The days we once had .
Sometimes waking up happy,
Most of the time waking up sad .
Then laying all alone ,
Listening to the wind .
I'm sure that one day ,
I might see you again .
Always will be a part of me,
In some strange and eerie way .
When one of us was meant to go ,
While the other had to stay .
I can still see your face ,
Though it is far from here .
Some how touch your smile ,
Through the rain and falling tears .
Don't know much about Heaven ,
Don't know much about Hell .
What ever is to come,
I guess only time will tell .
There by the river ,
Drawing pictures in the sand .
Will be one of us ,
With a stretched out waiting hand .
As I am still awake at night ,
I still see your face .
I still touch your smile ,
Wipe away the tears trace .
I will wait patiently ,
For you to return home .
To make my life complete ,
Underneath this marble stone .

I'm lost for words after reading your poetry. There is a tremendous amount of warmth in your heart, it glows through your words. And that's so special. A warm welcome to the Soup Susan, I look forward to reading your future poems >> James
