Once

So sad to see such a source of rich memories
Dwindle into one life’s last visible chapter
Only to periodically be visited through old memories when feeling blue
Never to create new ones again
Unless your mind plays tricks
And you direct your own epic movie
Bringing back loved ones in their prime
To act in new parts and new adventures
Those worn gravestones are the camera markers
The breeze is the accompanying music
And you guard the script, clinging it close to your heart
For this movie will never be made again
