Once

Once

"Once upon a time..." begins many a fairytale.

They have happy endings, almost without fail.

But I know "happily ever after," doesn't always come true,

Like my once upon a time fairytale, spent in loving you.

Another excellent poem! Reality sucks sometimes doesn't it? But it can still make a great poem! That last line is very powerful. Always, Laura

Sadly, this was a part of my life. Fairytale turned nightmare. Thank you for enjoying it.

Not even our hardest trials are a waste...not if we learn something from having survived them. Thanks for the comment and the 7.

Thank you for the kind words, Emile. I wish there had been a true fairytale ending ...but then this poem wouldn't exist. I'd trade a poem for true love any day. ;)
