On Wings Made of Petals of Rose
The fallen, their souls tarnished stare aimlessly skyward.
With sullen eyes, they count the times lucks gone awry.
What will others think, of one who has been such a fool?
Is there a place, he could go where he won't be judged?
A place to be forgiven, for all men will make mistakes.
Not to punish the poor, when they dream of having more.
Nor force young men, to work hard for almost nothing.
Then remake the world, and bring back innocence lost.
Where love doesn't hurt, and men help brothers in need.
Their women raise children, who fall not for dark ambition.
That resit temptation, knowing the folly of endless desire.
Selling not their soul, for pretty trinkets and shiny beads.
Where the heavens, need not hide behind distant clouds.
For to Earth, angels will fly on wings made of petals of rose.
And hearts are melted, by the barest hint of a simple smile!
