On This Stage

I lost myself in someone else's happiness
Forgot to pick myself up
I cried myself to sleep only seeking lust
I helped with everyone else's future
Forgot about myself
Leaving several wounded hearts Sat upon the shelf
Hoping one-day the heartache will go
I can remove this heavy stone
Blocking the sunlight from my back
Wishing for a happy home
Wishes don't come true
When you have lost yourself to greed
Knowing one-day I'll be left to you
Waiting for an open scene
As the stage is my own world now
I can make my happiness up
Love is no longer here
All that's left is dust
