On This Day

Unmoving, sweltering, its evening falls,
Unrolling slowly a knotty unbleached cotton pall,
Turns unceremoniously and exits -
      the day ending eight years,
Eliott's[1] sends a breeze, a silent scene ends call.

Thanks Anne-Lise, as anyone can say looking at my poems I am not trained in writing. I aspire to express myself better and poems are a natural medium for me. Natural and coarse :) Thanks for the encouragement!
