On the Wings of An Angel

Today is the day I have
chosen to die,on the wings
of an ANGEL I will fly high

I feel I could have been
better while I was here,
but on the wings of an
ANGEL,I will have no fear.

All my life I had to put up
a fight,but on the wings
of an ANGEL I will be alright.

Things may have been better
if id'e taken time to pray, now
I am on the wings of an ANGEL
and I am going to be ok.

Please LORD watch over my loved one's.

                        Colleen Marie Bono

Colleen -Beyond all expectations, I have enjoyed this piece, not because "death" appears to serve as the inspiration for the next emotion, but rather the spiritual road of calm. It's quite unique poem. Thanks for sharing it. George

Have you ever watch the movie, "What dreams may come" with Robin Williams? Rent it. Take care, Caroline.

Dear Colleen, the angel has always been there not to take you away on its wings, but to help you come to life and fly, just extend your hand and the angel to open your eyes. I'd like to suggest for you to read my poem, "To see eye to eye", perhaps it will inspire you. Let God take you when it is time. The poem is well written, but very sad. Thanks for sharing, Caroline.

Dear Colleen, YOU can become the Angel in real life and help other people. There are so many kids who would love to have somebody in their lives like a big sister or adopted parent. Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to you from Iolanda!!!

Colleen, this is a sad piece. I hope it's purely a written poem, and not reality >> James

call the Hot Line. this isn't the first time i've heard this. if it's a voice you need there is one that will help. where are the Lords hands? just below your wrist. they do the Lords work but are you quiting? what can they do? they can write poetry; as long as the blood keeps pumping through them. yeah, they hurt sometimes. nothing many yes many have'nt gone through. keep working. jhl

In reading the reviews from your fellow poets... I would have to agree with the comment by Sara... Why commit suicide, why take your own life when you have so much to live for... It may not seem like that now. Out there you may be the ugly duckling, but on the soup dear colleen, you are a swan.....:JP]

I don't know if this poem is real, but I do know it was real for me a couple times. I never felt worse in my life.. I put my hearts prayer that I could not even utter on the wings of my guardian Angel and she must have flown it high to God because I'm still here ... and darn glad of it. God bless you Colleen and keep writing ! - Robert
