On the Way

We have created the tools for peace
or war--something between an open
and shut door, like water that runs
hot and cold. Something like the difference
between what's young and old.

Like the sun shines in the morning
light. Like that's the difference between
going wrong and doing right. Like the
two sides of the same brain, each side
is different but still the same.

We have duplicated the nature of life;
now we must decide which one is right.
It's obvious to most but not to all. We
can rise or start to sink and fall.

We live in a time where a decision must
be made. We can live in the sun or start
to fade. All I can do is point this out, and
ask everyone what this is about.

I can ask the question and put it in words,
and it can remain on paper, or never be
heard. So much has been undone; there is
much sadness and very little fun.

I can tell you, now, that something must be
done, in a world that was made for everyone.
Not only for us who are alive today, but also for
future generations that are on the way.
