On the Run
Dear little Serenity,
I hope that you've forgiven me.
But I couldn't see you starve,
and of course I fear divinity.
I've pulled to many capers for the paper,
so now any mans head lights
could be the flashing death sentence of my enemies.
I wish I could be there to see you walk
or at least hear your first breath.
Lord knows I want to stay
but the majority has voted me in for death.
The tides had to shift to quick.
It had to be magic call it hokas pokas.
I heard them pray to be pray never again.
Now in the end their more furious.
And as I stare down that barrel as it opens,
after the click clack...
I'll think back,
remembering I did it to feed you.
So I'll never regret that.
But now I'm on the run...
My mistakes will catch up
but until then
I'm on the run...
