On the Roads To Tiruchendur
The sun in all its glory
The earth too tired to resist
N deep within me, something stirred
Ah! Long lost wander lust!
The roads wetre mine, once again..
NAY! I belonged to the roads!
N I went along , heart in refrain
I became one with the roads!
Shorn off all traces of that which labelled me different
I found myself one of the crowd..
Just another traveller.
People went past, harried, unhappy,
People went past, merry n whole..
I crossed a thousand faces
Each a language of its own
Some smiled, some nodded,
Some smirked, some winked,
Someone waved from out of the unforgivin heat..
Yet another one raced past, without as much as a moment's meet
I'd found The World. anew. raw.
N it spoke to me.
Told me of how things shall pass by, as do people
Told me how, no matter who i was, I was just one among the millin millions
Told me how the way was part shady, part, sun's mercy
Told me that things when new , excite
Told me that no companionship was for ever.
N one thing it told me strong
THAT THE ROADS ARE THERE, N THERE IT LAY,
N ALL I NEED DO IS MOVE ALONG.
