On the Last Day
And she will recite this:
On the day you last breathe
Your arms were too far for me to hug
Your lips were too cold for me to kiss
Your eyes were closed to see me
Your voice was no where to be heard
Your heart was still
Your eyebrows were still beautiful
Your skin became light no more
On the day of your departure
You left us with many questions
Your poems never told us about the date
Yet we knew the end shall come... when? Well we never knew and never expected it to be this soon!
On the day you died
You did not leave alone
But our souls sinked deep into misery
As you left
I lost hope and faith in love
My lips want nothing to do with love anymore.
May your pretty soul rest...
May your wonderful soul rest...
May your beautiful soul rest...
On this day,
You wrote this,
And now, only now
Is the right time to read it out loud.
