On the golden pond

Love reigning eternal, golden pond shines,
The dusk sky is ablaze with hues, outshines,
The dawn descends upon the tranquil pond,
Water gleams like gold, a shimmering bond.

Thousand suns reflect, as the wind whistles,

Concentric waves in circles, joy arranged,
Memories emerge, from the pond estranged.

Shadows lengthen, as daylight starts to swoon,
Reflections fracture, reunite, immune,

Hands entwined, vows made to last and cocoon,
