On The Field
On the field wildflowers grow
Scatter about not in rows
Colors abound and fragrance too
How I would like to share it with you
Butterflies dance in courtship
Above the flowers dip and flip
She will find the perfect plant
Her fertilized eggs to softly grant
No more will we discuss the beauty
Even if we did it out of duty
Gone from earth are you my love
But I'll see and hear you in each dove
