On the Edge of Morning

On the edge of my dream night floats like a mist as dawn seeks to dispel it and stars whisper good-bye Then swirls of consciousness rise with the bird song greets the sleepy morning to walk with ease into the day Curls of ribbon fall upon the shore tickles against my bare feet in the daily ritual we both repeat blending passions with poetic grace When the sun kisses me gingerly and light waltzes with the sea breeze its time I rinse the sand away… inside, my smile wraps me in glitter

Your words and photography are beautiful Jeanne. You sound as if you are just where you want to be and that comes across in your writing.

Congratulations on the win. The words you used sound common in other poems, but fanciful and lively in this one. Fantastic word play.

Thank you Caren...The sea still brings me such joy and helps especially if I am unsettled.
