On the Edge

Misbegotten pair, two-faced accusation, the seduction of sweet solace or the inarticulation of despair. Either uneasy 'neath the spell of peerless rapture, false respite from the ravages of fear, or defenseless and imperilled by a sadness that is too extreme to bear.

Keith, poets suffer because their world is a world of feeling ... not many poets had happy lives ... we are called to a task that is priestly, and our garb is suffering ... I pray for poets that we may forever sing for singing dilute the the venom of our sting. Courage, brother.

Any of those things are not easy things to deal with for some harder than others. This is quite a deep and moving write, Keith. You have so many that I don't think I could ever catch up. But I don't mind because even the ones I get a little lost on I still enjoy. Hope you are well. " 'neath the spell of peerless rapture" brilliant phrase! Love, Robin
