On the 4th Day of Feb

For several years her incredible talent I looked upon with awe As gradually across the sea we felt a bond both her and me We felt a true affinity As if somehow we’d met before Over the years with laughter and tears Good friends we had become I knew from her writing when she was in pain I sent virtual hugs again and again Across many oceans went love to and fro Us two had not met Us two had not spoken and yet when lately my soul felt so low Nowhere was there solace Nowhere for to go But my soul sis she felt it My soul sis did know And today was the day On the 4th day of Feb We picked up our phones We were speaking instead Arriving together in each other’s home To hear her sweet voice how it lifted me so Like she was nearby A tear fell from my eye As now we feel closer than ever before Who knows what comes next ~~~~ Who’s a knocking at my door?
