On Soaring Wings
I'd love to soar,
Above mountains and hills,
I'd love to take flight,
Above streams and valleys,
See the land from its aerial view.
Away from the world’s troubles,
Away from the earth’s pull,
I'd love to take my journey skywards,
Exhale out every stifled emotion.
The beauty of the world from above,
Nature’s aesthetics and tapestry,
These I'd want to see,
And bask in the glory of the sun.
Freedom is the meal I have longed for,
Liberty is the treasure I seek,
Uncaged from life's turbulence,
Unbound from its perplexities.
High above I'd take my rest,
Free to give my best,
Lean on His amiable arms,
And tell the world I'm alive
