On Shattered Ground

I know my name.
I know who I am.
I know life plays a game.
On every woman, on every man.

I know my sins are real.
I know my cut skin will heal.
I know and understand.

I know I can’t control.
The nature of life will come and go.

I know my flaws and see what is it I try to be but sometimes I don’t understand.

I know that living is sometimes to cry.
I know I see what I leave behind and why.

I know that my only faith is in you, I know no matter what I do I only hope and pray that I’ll never let you down.

I know that I’ll never again turn away from the cold light of day no matter how desperate the walk is on shattered ground.

I know that I can see more, I know what my life is for each time I see your face and hold your hand.
