On Prioritizing

What things are most important to me? Things that I must give rapt attention to We must all consider this individually, Deciding for ourselves what is right and true And prioritize our days accordingly.

Each minute of each day is a gift; I was reminded of this ten times on my road trip - when 10 different cars or trucks pulled out in front of me. We have to do what we really want to do now, while we can. The next second is not promised.

Absolutely true, Caren. "The next second is not promised."

I try to prioritize but too often life gets in my way. First order of importance... always.

Indeed. I think we have to use discipline to do what is compelling...separating our needs from our wants, and ordering from most to least important. In any case, that's how I see it.

Connie stated what I was going to Milton, ha. Your absolutely right. Family is important to me as well as providing for them. Also everything that is going on around us. Priority is the key word. Thanks for sharing and your dilligent effort is always apprediated my friend. Enjoy your day and check up on Lucille, I worry about her, lol.

(chuckling) Well, Lucille is doing well, last I heard. She has been checking out surf boards, but so far she hasn't taken the dive. Thanks so much, Michael. I'll tell Lucille you inquired about her.

This is so true. When I feel scattered I make a list and try to accomplish at least one thing on my list and hope for more. My children and grandchildren are still my top priority. They also give back to me. Good thoughts Milton. Blessings xxoo

Good advice Milton, if there's no urgency it can wait and I deal with things that need urgent attention. My old neighbour said to me one day why are you working flat out and he added you're retired now you've got all the time in the world so now come dinnertime it's tools down, I feel a lot better for it. Absolutely. We all need to be reminded of this from time to time, too. Sounds like you've got a new rhythm!
