On My Way Down Down Down Into the Deep

I shall lie-down and rest
as I cannot sleep
and wait for death to take me
down down down into the deep

The demons will come one by one
and the pain will follow ever so
blinding light and screaming voices
as I travel down below

Hell will be my new found home
accompanied by other wretched souls
my memories will haunt me still
and overtake the good I know

To think this all came from a needle point
thrust into me by broken men
how do they sleep at night
or cherish the holy Amen

Don't human rights mean anything
the protection of the afterlife
I'm innocent and don't deserve any of this
please return my God given rights

A sad tale Robert, surly an innocent person wont go to hell ? I learned a new saying today from a child's rhyme and its oh so true. You can't go under it, You cant go over it, you just have to go through it. Your scary but wonderful poem provokes a great deal of thought. You have a true talent for writing.

Robert, this goes deep deep deep into theology, doesn't it? age of innocence, limbo, the elect, all ways we try to sort out, work through... Ultimately, an image bearer being destroyed at the hands of man - how God handles the former is best left to Him, how He handles the destroyer seems a bit more resolved - through the cross, for those who repent/believe, and through the deep deep for those who dont. Big stuff.
