On My Ignorance

I found people hiding their heads In large voluminous books and Walking with an air around them Aroused my craving to become one. With zeal terrific; perused many books Buried in them my ostrich head Pitiable my condition; like a child That was lost in a way side fair. Restless was I; looking at others Posing always as somebody else Hit my head; shrieked hysterically Cursed my damn ignorance openly. Adamantly enough went on reading A pleasant surprise came to me riding The more I learned; conscious was I Of the vast ignorance in me that was. The more I fathomed made me aware Of the immense unknown that is there At last, my lips broadened with a smile When, I realized that ignorance is bliss.
