On My Birthday You Went Away

I wonder to myself why was it you passed on the day I was born
One year later I felt sad and torn,

         I wish I knew the reason why it happened this way
When it is Gods plan I have nothing to say,

         It doesn't change either way the loss I feel
Loosing your Dad makes life and death very real,

         I can't forget that moment when I knew you were gone
All the feelings that came over me while your new life had begun,

         I wanted to wake you up and say; don't leave
But I knew in my mind that was all make believe,

         Now an angel with all our loved ones up above
I know you are always with me surrounded by your love.
