On Looking At a Dali

An exquisite drawing in pen and ink, Though I’m not a fan of the likes of Dali Allow me the luxury of having to think. Some I look at and exclaim, “Golly!” If I am not a fan, I respect their ability, Though I’m not a fan of the likes of Dali. Pen and inks require lots of dexterity, I enjoy paintings if they’re authentic If I am not a fan, I respect their ability. I like technique that causes me to think Expressing the artist’s inner passion, I enjoy paintings if they’re authentic. Recognizing the painter’s usual fashion Helps me to understand his/her work Expressing the artist’s inner passion. Some painters I most enjoy have a quirk An exquisite drawing in pen and ink Helps me to understand his/her work Allow me the luxury of having to think.

Hahaha This is the only thing you have ever written that surprises me completely because DALI is my FAVORITE artist as is KLEE - I love their wild, wonderful, who does this? kind of art! For some reason I thought you would feel the EXACT same way!

Oh, I do love KLEE! I don't know why Dali and Picasso never appealed to me, but probably because I didn't like specific stuff I saw. I'm more of a realist. I love Monet and Gauguin and Van Gogh. I have a Willemse hanging over my bed. And, of course, I still have a Krutsinger hanging in my bedroom!

And how lucky we are having the luxury to think, not having to scavenge for food, scour the skies for drones, our village not under attack from roving bands of killers and looters! The luxury! Elizabeth
