On Life

My love stay near me please don't go,

I need you more than you could know.

Your arms around me, sweet embrace

The loving look upon your face.

With your support I live and grow.

Your loving guidance, your calm support

Your strength of character, my sheltered fort.

Of wisdom shared, sorrows tears wiped dry

I grew to become ME, while you stood by.

You are as welcome to me as a ship to port.

We shared much laughter, many happy times

Through stormy days and bright summer skies.

The adventures we had, the roads we traveled

Our lives together, the time unraveled.

Truths only we shared, no time for lies.

We belong together, you and I

Our days of "oneness", they just flew by.

They say life is short, bless every day

Stop to smell the flowers along the way.

Do as you wish, but please give it a try.
