On Interacting With Other Human Beings
Quite often our interactions bring nothing but misery.
Misguided our intentions. Elusive our logic. Making
Mountains out of nothing. Singing songs without
arrangement. Overdue on every promise.
Every posture so misleading. So far
can we be thrown. Even less be trusted.
I'll be your enemy if you promise to keep
me close. As you are wont to do.
We all share the quality of chronic ignorance.
Like we are constantly re-learning the same
exact thing, every single day. Stumbling
into each interaction, unable to keep our
composure.
We'll each compose our own
unique narrative that suits our needs
a combination of selective recollection
and overwhelming justifications.
