On Edge
My breath I keep holding in
Waiting watching knowing it soon will begin
I try to release and just breathe
But air isn't what I need
Drama turmoil and confusion seem to rule each day
Nothing breaks the cycle to my dismay
The breeze gently blows caressing my skin
My breath I catch myself holding in
Consciously letting my muscles down my breath it's release
Then screaming to the sky just hurry up please
Sobs wreck havoc on my entire being
Feet itch to just start fleeing
I watch little ones create and play
Just trying to pass yet another day
Then I remember I once enjoyed such things
My breath I find myself holding in..
With the tension always building consuming
How do I heal my life resuming
Waiting watching knowing it's soon to begin
Black clouds hover.. My breath I find myself holding in
