On Both Shoulder

As the sun sets, this mortal world is an hour older The darkness without warmth is always a bit colder Stones past along the way some the size of small to boulder Life's highway is punctuated by mile markers on both shoulder Are they memories or just distances placeholder? As fires long burn out, their ashes still find ways to smolder Does asking questions or finding their answers make us bolder? True happiness really is in the eye of the beholder

Amazing poetry, AS, full of useful advice and profound thoughts. A warm welcome, though, can weather any storm. Let us throw open the doors of our souls.
