On Birthdays, Memories and Time

So, now the day is gone
 I find myself just moving right along;
no big deal, just another day
 what can I say?

Hopefully, the passing years have taught me well
 living thru the joy and laughter in life's magic spell.
I'm gratefull for one and all,
 the memory of tales I told, short and tall.

The completed dreams for which I yearned
 family, friends and lessons learned,
bless each and everyone
and keep us together until our days are done.

was it just your birthday?? This makes me feel like it was. it has a wisp of sadness to it. I think it's a poem we all can relate to the older we get!!
