On Bended Knees

On bended knees I felt the horrors
Of death as it gushed out blood on me
Behind closed eyes,
On perky breast of a female death.

This poem fills me with dread. It reminds ne of the witch hunts in the Middle Ages. Or the mother of Christ kneeling at the foot of the cross.
