On Being Alone
There is
and was
and never
will be again,
the first~
glimpse
blush
flutter
brush
touch
cuddle
caress.
There is
and was
and never
will be again,
the first~
hope
honor
promise
pledge
solemn
oath
vow.
There is
and was
and never
will be again,
the first~
breath
whisper
word
maxim:
you
me
us.
