On and On

Tiger lilies decorate an altar of promise;
Cherry blossoms and leaves of soft, green satin
Unfold, and winter quietly smiles and bids

Auf Weidersen...

                           For now...

As he willingly pushes aside his brilliant white
Curtain, accepting the rhythm of God's plan,
Understanding that goodbye,

In all her intensity,

                                                Doesn't mean...

              Forever.
