On An Ordinary Day
competition entry:
It fits in the palm of my hand
Holding it with a firm grip
I don’t need it to stand
I just need it to dip
I use it every day
I wield it up and down
Like a toy I like to play
Sometime I smile sometimes I frown
Day to day this item I use
I work hard and it gives me a hot flush
Never being one to abuse
I never mistreat my toilet brush.
