On An Invitation By the Cultural Academy

On An Invitation By The Cultural Academy
-----------------------------------
Outside , the red leaves falling off old chinars,
The famous hall must have resonated with the duet
"Dil chooran hai dil nyum shaaman...",
And audiences moved-- some dancing in their seats , others clapping their hands.
Seeing a film in the ancient theatre
On such a legendary woman singer's life,
Having wah! Hot kehva in small sips-- with crispy bites of 'baekir-khaen'...
I imagine here in this lit by a candle darkroom
All the marriage-like happy scene and rejuvenate myself .

I had arranged brother's sweater
And dad's shoes today early morning but
Couldn't ...bus fares!
