On a Winter Day

On a winter day the cold wind flies
It's a long time till spring in May
But watch how fast it'll go by
On a winter day
The inside invites you to stay
A gentle wind seems to shift and sigh
The biting chill leads the way
Air smacks my face making me cry
Yet I linger as I lay
I'll never know why
On a winter day
