On a Line

The setting sun, a turmeric coloured sky Two parallel electrical wires stretching out Into the horizon On them sit birds in line, their silhouette’s dark Still in their connection. As if someone has placed alphabet’s on a line To pluck and place in verse or rhyme And daily at dusk some poet somewhere Writes a rhyme or a couplet on a line. 31.10.2020
