On a Honeymoon Night

Hoped, her hint turned green
From this hesitant orange
Ere I put out light,

But my luck was lean,
Her gesture looked out of range
To hit my mood’s height,

Stars are peeping in—
An alibi all so strange,
You picture my plight

When her nod turned red
From hopeful in-between shade
On that nuptial night!
