Omniscient Shores
The water is so tempting now
as the wind blows ashore,
All these haunting apparitions
I've dreamt them all before.
This sand has turned to ash
and the sea is now a shade of red,
An island to the north
an exiled home to the dead.
With burning feet I fall
at the mercy of all those who weep,
A constant call for resolution
and their guilt forever shall they keep.
With knees in the ocean
I beg to a god no longer there,
For I am their master now
like him, I bother not to care.
One day they shall see
the world through our eyes,
My fear is my absolution
to all their pitiful cries.
Gazing towards the sky
in the realms within our dreams,
The master of these puppets
and I control the seams.
