Older Sibling
“Older Sibling”
Your eyes, they shine like diamonds in the sky.
They glow and gleam and make my day complete.
But yet, in those same eyes I see goodbye,
As you look out into the world upbeat.
Your hands, they stroke the strings of your guitar.
They pluck and pull and shape the notes for you.
But yet, those hands are leaving for afar,
Now that I am on my own, I make do.
Your voice, sends words out slowly and slickly.
It gives courage, advice, and assistance.
But yet, that voice is fading quite quickly.
I can only try to call long distance
Life isn’t the same without you around
But you’re greater now that you are unbound
