Old Solitary Lovers

OLD SOLitary Lovers

Sun worshippers these sunflowers
turning their backs on their tenders
lolling in the squinting rays of sunrise
stretching to catch last touch of sunset
sadly hanging their heads at dusk.

Very enjoyable free verse poem, John. I enjoyed the imagery and insight here, a 7.
