Old Pebble

I've wished for long to be like them -
a billion years to be a gem, 

but I'm only a pebble, 
alone, plain and unnoticed.  
Now I know where I belong - 
in this boy's pocket.

A pebble in the pocket of a young boy, you bring out a tangible use for even the ordinary! This is so well done, dear David! Goliath was brought down with such an ordinary pebble. This one hit right between the eyes. Fave.
