Old Nigerian Politicians
I fought to be at their conference,
Wanting to make out the difference
Of people of believed deference:
Men long fond of being at the top
And clearly humans one can’t just stop:
Actors we would shower reverence
And cite in Letters of Reference
For their ostensible diligence
And sweet appetite for indulgence
But turned out it did a sufferance
And my tasting anew hateful forbearance…
The tyrants had space found in their agenda
For “A No Presido” to The Feminine Gender
And a stronger “No” to bubbly youths,
Often at home with reckless truths…
Self-serving, old Nigerian Politicians
Content to be God-forsaken Factions.
